The building includes the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences, offering undergraduate degrees, as well as master's degree and Ph.D programs in Earth Sciences, Geography, Geology, and Meteorology. This building also features a greenhouse on the fifth floor. The McEniry Building was named for Dr. W. Hugh McEniry, UNC Charlotte's first vice chancellor for academic affairs who set the high standards for the University's programs of study. McEniry Building was renovated during the Summer of 2005.
