Rowe Building
The Rowe building was named for Oliver R. Rowe, a Charlotte industrialist and patron of the arts. The building contains the Art Department. Features of the building are a theater, a musical recital hall, an experimental theater, an art gallery with rotating exhibits, and a sculpture courtyard. The Rowe Building features a 350-seat theater with thrust stage, a Recital Hall with seating for 400, a Studio Theater that seats 100, an open-air sculpture courtyard in the center, choral rehearsal hall, instrumental studio, photography laboratories, library for recordings, art studios, music studios, 15 practice rooms, and skylights to provide natural lighting for gallery and art studios.
